Boerhaave museum, (Kamerlingh Onnes) and the KOG in Leiden
Visit to the museum Boerhaave and the Kamerlingh Onnes building.
In museum Boerhaave Professor dr. Dirk van Delft will guide you through the background and technical challenges that had to be overcome by Prof. dr. Heike Kamerlingh Onnes in his ambition to realize the absolute lowest temperature ( -273,15 degree Celcius)
This took place in the Kamerlingh Onnes Building in 1908 and can still be visited. Today the building is a university and a centre of supra-conductivity.
Prof. dr. Peter H. Kes of the Leiden University will give a lecture on this subject.
Note; the transport from the museum Boerhaave to the Kamerlingh Onnes building will take a 15 minutes walk.

Ice rink Sportboulevard in Dordrecht
The ice rink, operating with ammonia, and equipped with heat recovery supplying a swimming pool, will be in operation during the visit, Design engineer from the contractor GEA/Grenco will present background information and will guide the tour. The ice rink was hosting the final of the short track in February 2012 and will be the place where the Island Cup Games will be organized from 9 to 11 September 2012.

Prevesco BV in Waalwijk
Prevesco is a manufacturer of pressure vessels for all kind of equipment. Low pressure receivers for pump circulation systems have recently been redesigned in a way that no liquid drops will be transported to the compressors. A demonstration on a real size model will explain the difference in the working principle of both the traditional and the newly developed method. The designer will give a lecture with background information before and after the demonstration and will allow ample room for questions and discussions.

CO2 freezing and cooling plant Klaas Puul in Volendam
Klaas Puul is an international import/export company for shrimps, both fresh and froozen. Both conditions are realized by refrigeration plants running with CO2. The Company, designer and builder of the plant, Bort de Graaf, will explain the details and answer questions during a tour in the machine room and the factory.

Training centre natural refrigerants PTC+ Ede
In the PTC+ institute for refrigeration education a real plant, containing the natural refrigerants NH3, CO2 and Propane is used to educate technicians and end users in the proper and safe handling of these refrigerants and to teach them the specific ways to control plants with natural refrigerants. An introduction and demonstration will illustrate he possibilities of this equipment.
Guided workshops with possibilitiy for questioning, on the following sub-parts of the equipment will be given.
